Hello! Hello!
My name is Keisha J. Mathew, A.M., LCSW and I am proud to represent the best of my ancestors. I use she/her pronouns. Thank you for viewing my website. I chose this path as a healer because of the blessings I have experienced as a wife, mom, friend, a coach and therapist. I have a master's in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. I created radicallyBLended Services, PLLC because the opportunity to serve people at their most vulnerable is one that deserves integrity, lived experience and compassion (both professionally and personally). The capitalizing of the B and the L in my business name stands for Black Liberation. It is a core value of mine as a therapist and a woman of African descent. My work focuses on providing healing for Black and Brown people; it is my purpose and desire as a professional healer. Make no mistake: I serve all people, but my mission is to provide space for Black and Brown people with the highest need of trauma informed care and mediation in their relationships.
Providing therapy and coaching is my calling! I am a native of both the culturally diverse northside and the beautifully rich in Black and Brown culture that is the south side of Chicago. The first twenty years of my life was filled with impactful moments that has defined who I am and my level of cultural competency. In addition to my eclectic background during my youth, my life took a surprising turn when I met my now husband. During our courtship, I learned so much about not only myself, but the people I was surrounded by (both family and friends). There were times I felt alienated by my family and community. There were also feelings of isolation because I was not connected to anyone else that matched my unique experience. I went years wondering if I would find a circle of humans that would support me as a proud Black woman in an interracial relationship within a segregated city. I also had a lot of generational traumas to unpack, something that I uncovered as a new mom. Motherhood opened me up to the suppressed trauma and grief I had normalized and buried; a family pattern practiced by women before and after me.
My desire as an activist and professional healer is to build community with people in similar relationships, those that are curious about the world outside their lived experience and those with an open mindset. I serve communities that values a psychotherapist that is unapologetically my full self, and is not your typical woman of African descent from Chicago! Supporting individuals and families that intersect with the Black experience in any way is what you will find on my website and in my practice.
Through my services, you will learn how I fuse 20+ years of wisdom from my lived experience. My formally trained clinical skills is how I help you find your way to the life you want with absolutely no apologies necessary. Your path to joy is yours to take; I am here to provide the light you need!
